Garlic Button Mushrooms
Keep it simple and you can’t go wrong. Fresh, quality ingredients will always take your dishes to the next level. This is a simple recipe you can add to so many meals! Versatile side dishes are a must in your recipe arsenal!
First, wash button mushrooms and sauté them in butter and olive oil. Adding minced garlic and shallots to the mushrooms will be a perfect accompaniment to so many entrees.
Give this dish a splash of lemon juice and handful of chopped fresh parsley leaves and you’re good to go!!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb button mushrooms
- 4 Tbsp olive oil; divided
- 2 Tbsp butter; divided
- 4-5 garlic cloves; minced
- 1 large shallot; minced
- 1/3 cup white wine
- Juice of a lemon
- salt and pepper to season
- chopped parsley to garnish
Directions:
- Wash mushrooms and pat dry
- Heat 2 Tbsp oil and 1 Tbsp butter in large pan over high heat then add mushrooms - cook 3-5 minutes stir occasionally making sure all mushrooms are coated. Salt and pepper to your taste.
- Add remainder of butter and oil to the pan, along with minced garlic and shallot. Stir then add white wine and lemon juice. Sauté for 3-5 minutes or until sauce reduces a little bit. Remove from pan into a serving dish.
- Garnish with thyme and more pepper if desired. Enjoy!
