The Best BLT
How do you do your BLT’s?
For me it’s all about thick cut slices of bacon and too much cheese. The melt-ier the better. Also, I’ll toast the middle slice of bread before I begin layering the ingredients. It helps keep the sandwich consistent. But as I say, “you do you” so you go and layer your sandwich however you like!!
- Thick sliced bread
- Thick cut sliced bacon
- Beefstock tomato
- Iceberg lettuce
- Colby Jack sliced cheese
- Toast middle slice of bread and lightly salt tomato slices.
- Warm pan over medium heat. Layer sandwich: bread, cheese, bacon, tomato and lettuce. Repeat 2x. Butter the top slice of bread and flip so that the buttered slice is down on pan. Heat until golden brown. Butter other top slice of bread and flip.
- If cheese isn’t melting enough, add a tablespoon or two of water into the pan and cover for about a minute. Enjoy!
